Community Consultation

The Joint Venture has undertaken an inclusive consultation process with the local community and other key stakeholders, such as City of Port Adelaide Enfield, various government agencies, and private service providers.

Based on best-practice principles, the consultation activities for Northgate Stage Three: Precinct One included:

• Individual meetings with community and government representatives
• Workshops with community organisations, service providers, businesses and government agencies
• Distribution of a series of community newsletters, to view click on the links below:

    (this will be the last community consultation newsletter)
• A community information and feedback session for the wider community
• Regularly updated project web site
  (this website is being replaced by www.northgate.net.au)
• Preparation of a consultation outcomes report to be submitted with the land division application

Consultation will continue throughout the course of the project.

Community Information and Feedback Session

A community information and feedback session was held on 21 October and provided an opportunity to view the evolving Masterplan and to discuss the project with members of the Joint Venture and consultant team. Community feedback from the session and from ongoing consultations provided valuable input into planning for Northgate Stage Three: Precinct One prior to lodgement with consent authorities.

Consultation Outcomes Report

This Report documents the community and stakeholder consultation activities from August to November 2006, prior to lodgement of the first Land Division Application. It reflects the broad range of views presented to the project team about the planning and design for Northgate Stage Three: Precinct One. Primary issues identified, included open space provisions, traffic management, recreation facilities and housing form.
