Elton Consulting established a planning practice in 2006 to complement other Elton allied services. Our team of specialist planners have extensive experience in and up-to-date knowledge of the Australian regional and metropolitan planning and development context. We are able to translate detailed theoretical understanding into practical strategies and processes. Working with government and private sector clients across Australia, we facilitate and manage statutory projects through the planning approvals pathway and provide policy and strategic direction to ensure sustainable and commercially viable outcomes.
Elton Consulting’s considerable statutory and strategic planning experience has been applied to projects Australia-wide, particularly in New South Wales, the Northern Territory and South Australia. Our senior consultants and project managers have extensive experience in project managing the planning phase of a project, from initiation to project delivery. Our planning approach integrates social, environmental and economic factors and ensures that planning risks are known and can be managed. We understand that navigating any statutory planning system requires a deep understanding of compliance issues and a meticulous eye for detail.
Our urban planning practice has particular experience with planning scheme amendments/rezoning and planning development applications for subdivisions and built form. We have prepared numerous planning due diligence reports, environmental assessments, and planning guidelines. The team’s significant experience in strategic planning and policy development includes planning for greenfield development and land release strategy in relation to residential, community, retail, commercial and industrial infrastructure development. We have also worked closely with a number of government departments and agencies to set direction and develop policies and projects to achieve planning objectives.
Our national urban planning practice is led by Jenny Rudolph. Our services in this area include:
