It has identified St Leonards as a major centre

It proposes that St Leonards accommodate a further 8,000 jobs and 2,000 – 5,000 new dwellings over the next 25 years

Together with the local Councils, the DoP has produced and exhibited a draft St Leonards Strategy to guide this growth

The draft Concept Plan, as well as providing a new major hospital, will create significant employment lands and residential opportunities – close to a major transport hub

This project will therefore fulfill the objectives of both the Metropolitan Strategy and draft St Leonards Strategy

The location of the site – its proximity to transport, the CBDs of Sydney, North Sydney and Willoughby – provide the ideal site for this type of development.
